Kenny Ave Terraces
Vision Homes engaged Development Nous and Young + Richard Architects to design the redevelopment of an existing residential site at 2 Kenny Ave, Ahuriri Napier. The scheme proposed the construction of two terraces of five, two storey homes addressing both Kenny Ave and Battery Road frontages accessed by a one-way, crescent shaped driveway that would enter and exit from Battery Road.
Each terraced provides a two car garage and to provide characterful residential interaction between the development and the streetscape, ground floor terraces and gardens are provided to encourage active occupation at street level.
DNL provided civil engineering, landscape architectural, survey and planning expertise to the project including design of 3 waters infrastructure, pavement design, hardscape finishes and materials and planting design.
Stage 1, being the 5 dwellings fronting Battery Road, were completed in October 2022. Stage 2 the Kenny Road dwellings will start construction early 2023.
